Even if you didn’t realize you were pretending. Maybe it was just survival, or it was easier than dealing with the conflict. But deep down, you’ve known for a while that something isn’t working. The constant effort to fix it, fix yourself, or just tolerate it. It’s wearing you down. You’re not showing up as yourself anymore. And if this version of you feels exhausted, reactive, numb, or constantly on edge, that’s not really you.

Astrological Overview: August 3–9, 2025
By Marie Satori
I don’t usually write weekly astrology forecasts, but this week calls for one. We’re heading into the Aquarius Full Moon, and the energy is heavier than usual. It's harder to move through without clarity. This week ends with seeing a truth you won’t be able to walk back from. A shift, nevertheless, that changes the way you move forward. The kind of realization that doesn’t let you go back to pretending.
Let’s walk through the week:
Sunday, August 3: The Sagittarius Moon meets Uranus, and things might not go as planned. A conversation, an interaction, a decision... something reveals more than expected. You might feel the urge to react fast. Don’t. Let the moment settle. Later in the day, Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto offer a more grounded perspective. What outcome are you trying to force, and what happens if you let go instead?
Monday, August 4: The Moon in Sagittarius favors honesty, and often it gets lost in the big picture. You may feel pulled toward things that look promising but aren’t really grounded. Sun semi-sextile Jupiter can amplify the pressure to make something “big” happen. A rare Sun–Uranus quintile offers creative insight, but it might come from an unlikely place. Let it.
Tuesday, August 5: Mercury retrograde in Leo meets Venus in a semi-sextile. You might want to be liked more than you want to be heard. But when the Moon enters Capricorn, emotional fatigue sets in. The pressure to keep it all together catches up. Are you expressing what matters to you, or just trying to avoid a fight?
Wednesday, August 6: Mars enters Libra. You’ll start to see that force isn’t the answer, but neither is avoidance. Mars in Libra teaches you how to fight without burning bridges. But also, to stop negotiating with people who are committed to not understand you, because they want you to "drop it". Chiron stations retrograde at 27° Aries. The pain you thought you’d buried shows up in how you speak, move, and defend yourself. Something you thought was part of your personality? It was a wound. You should know, I hated writing that last line. Because I know how much of your life was built around that wound. It gave you something to hold onto when the rest was chaos. But now it’s burning through your hands. Time to drop it. Venus enters Cancer (late night). You’ll start to crave warmth again.
Friday, August 8: Scorpio Quarter Moon, this First Quarter Moon is a choice point. Notice what you’re tiptoeing around.
Saturday, August 9: Mercury slows to a crawl before turning direct. Communication becomes a mirror. Everyone says what they're thinking out loud, often without meaning to.
Aquarius Full Moon: You’ve felt this building, the tension between your need to belong and your refusal to disappear. Something is about to shift. Venus approaches Jupiter. There is something good coming. But first, you have to stop pretending that this works for you. Ask yourself, what would I do differently if I wasn’t trying to please anyone?
Horoscopes for the week of Aug 4th
This week delivers a moment of truth you can’t ignore. Whether it's your decision directly or shows up through someone else's actions, you’ll see what’s no longer working. And once that happens, the only thing left to decide is what you’re going to do about it.
Aries
You’ve been operating in survival mode longer than you want to admit. Always stepping up. Always taking the lead. But now the weight of that identity is catching up with you. Chiron retrograde reminds you that what you thought was strength may have started as self-protection. It’s okay to lay it down. This week invites you to stop pushing past your own needs. You don’t have to prove anything to anyone. Let yourself be supported, even if you’re still learning how to receive it. The Full Moon reminds you that connection doesn’t mean weakness. It means you’re human.
Taurus
Sometimes the things that make you feel safe are also the things that keep you stuck. This week highlights how hard you’ve been working to maintain a structure that may no longer serve you. Chiron retrograde challenges your ideas about control and what you’ve sacrificed to keep things stable. Venus enters your sign’s element and brings a reminder that real care should not require constant proving. You are allowed to ask different questions now. What if you didn’t have to earn your peace? What if it was something you could simply choose?
Gemini
You’ve been bending over backwards to keep things smooth. Adjusting, rephrasing, smiling through it. But Mercury retrograde is putting the focus back on your voice. Not the curated version, but the one you’ve been holding back. Chiron retrograde adds a deeper layer, asking what part of you felt like you had to disappear in order to be accepted. This week, there’s power in choosing clarity over likeability. Let the Full Moon show you who hear's you, and who only tolerates you.
Cancer
You’ve been a little too quiet about what you need. Maybe even not saying it to yourself. Venus enters your sign this week, and while that brings softness, it also brings emotional awareness. You may start to feel the emotional weight of all you’ve carried just to avoid rocking the boat. This week gives you permission to stop apologizing for needing care in the first place. You don’t have to explain why you’re sensitive. You don’t need to justify your boundaries. The Full Moon shows you where your energy is being drained, and how to fix that. You deserve to feel held too.
Leo
You’ve spent a lot of time being impressive. You’re awesome, we know this. You consistently show up strong. But Mercury retrograde is slowing you down long enough to notice the gap between who you are and who you’ve had to be. Chiron retrograde adds an emotional undertone to this reflection. This week reveals how certain patterns of confidence were actually strategies to avoid being dismissed. You don’t need to keep proving yourself. Let the Full Moon reflect the truth of your relationships. If being yourself feels like a risk, it’s time to ask why.
Virgo
There’s only so long you can keep patching the cracks before you realize it’s not about fixing anymore. It’s about realizing that things fell apart to no repair. This week reveals how much energy you’ve used trying to hold together what no longer holds you. Chiron retrograde touches a tender place around responsibility. Maybe you thought your worth came from what you do for others. But this week asks a different question: What if your value isn’t tied to your usefulness? The Full Moon helps you see what’s been draining you. Something needs to shift, and it's pretty likely you know what that is already.
Libra
Mars moves into your sign and brings with it a lesson. Your boundaries are not up for debate. You’ve spent a lifetime managing other people’s emotions and reactions. Chiron retrograde may reveal old patterns around putting yourself last in relationships. This week, you’ll see this behavior for what it is. The Full Moon draws a clear line between what feels aligned and what feels like compromise. You don’t have to keep balancing things that were never yours to juggle.
Scorpio
You’re usually the one who knows what’s really going on. You're intuitive, people can't lie to you. The Scorpio Quarter Moon pushes a truth into your awareness that can no longer be ignored. This is not about controlling the outcome or keeping everything secret. It’s about showing up with integrity. The Full Moon illuminates what you've been holding in. Honesty isn’t always comfortable, but it is freeing. You’re allowed and need to choose yourself first, over loyalty to blood or friendship that is dysfunctional.
Sagittarius
You’re no stranger to silver linings. You know how to reframe, put on a smile, and move on. But this week, something asks you (most likely your sanity) to stop glossing things over. Chiron retrograde touches the places where humor became protection. Maybe you needed that strategy at one point, but now it’s time to let yourself feel what’s real. The Moon starts the week in your sign and brings clarity. By the Full Moon, you’ll have a decision to make: keep minimizing your own experience, or speak from the part of you that’s ready to be honest. You don’t have to keep pretending it’s all okay.
Capricorn
You’ve been keeping it together because someone had to. Chiron retrograde asks you to reflect on the roles you’ve internalized, especially the belief that being chosen requires being useful to others. This week shows you where that belief is holding you back. You don’t need to be anyone’s extra hands, or rock to be worthy of love. Venus entering Cancer asks you to examine how you receive care. Are you letting yourself be supported? The Full Moon brings clarity. Let it guide you back to relationships where you can just be yourself.
Aquarius
The Full Moon in your sign is a wake-up call. Something you’ve been holding onto is falling apart, and deep down, you’ve known it was coming. It’s even possible you’re already on the other side of the impact and beginning to recover. This week brings this situation into sharp focus. With both Mercury and Chiron retrograde, you’re being shown where you’ve compromised yourself and your health, just to hold onto a version of you. How do you feel now? This is your chance to realign with who you actually are, even if that means walking away or accepting that some doors have closed. Be the version of you that supports the life you're in, not what was.
Pisces
You’ve been holding space for everyone else for so long, you might’ve lost track of what your own boundaries even feel like. This week brings a moment of clarity. With Chiron retrograde, you're being asked to notice the part of you that always makes room, always bends, always takes on more than your share. Venus in Cancer shifts the focus back to you, what it feels like to receive support without changing what you need in order to receive it. This week's Full Moon acts as a mirror, and breaking point. Where have you been waiting for someone else to show up, while you’ve been carrying everything on your own? Let this week be the moment you decide things don’t have to keep going like this.
