July 31 - Mercury Direct in Cancer at 24 degrees

July 31 - Mercury Direct in Cancer at 24 degrees

July 31 - Mercury Direct in Cancer at 24 degrees
If the 4 planets in Leo haven’t shifted the energy for you yet, Mercury going direct today in Cancer will. Remember that things can potentially get messier when a planet stations direct. Misunderstandings and miscommunications are heightened. Lay low and connect to your internal process. Cancer unearths our emotional conditioning and our need to be needed. If things have felt stuck, charged, and triggering, that should start to release over the next week and when Mercury moves into Leo on August 11th. Mercury will be in his shadow until August 14, so remember to communicate clearly, and allow new information and clearing up of misunderstanding to come through.

July 27 - Venus moves into Leo

July 27 - Venus moves into Leo
The planet of love moves into the sign of play, pride, and romance, joining the Sun and Mars there. Venus is lavish in Leo. She takes her sense of beauty and flaunts it in the most classy and creative way. She takes her desire for partnership and turns up the heat and romance. She’s playful, flirtatious, sensual, sexual, and affectionate. If you’re looking for partnership, August is the time to do it. If you’re looking to get pregnant, there’s a high likelihood that conception could happen. And that’s a word of caution to those not looking to conceive just yet. We’ve let go of a lot of emotional baggage with the eclipse and planetary focus in Cancer over the last few weeks. Now’s the time to fill yourself up again with love and laughter. This could be in romantic relationships, creative partnerships, vacations, or playful antics. Remember to be kind and stay low drama. Explore the ways in which you seek love, attention and validation, and have difficulty letting go of your pride, ego and selfishness. Leo is generous and big hearted. Focus on these qualities within yourself and have fun!

Sun moves into Leo

Sun moves into Leo

July 22 - Sun Moves into Leo. Sun moves into its ruling sign of Leo, today July 22nd, joining Mars. Two strong willed, dynamic, and independent planets in the prideful and creative sign of the King. What we need to watch out for are ego conflicts, selfishness, creating unnecessary drama, and unhealthy attention seeking behavior. What we can embrace is a return of generosity, playfulness, children and our inner child, creativity, ambition, self-love, passion, and romanticism. Yes all the juicy and positive aspects of Leo can be channeled if we stay mindful of our own ego and keep in check unhealthy behavior that’s fueled from a need for attention and validation. It’s ok to be wanted, desired, passionate, noticed and loved. These are all great and healthy in fact! However, the ways in which we ask for, or behave, in order to have these desires met is what become problematic. Say you’re sorry when you’ve done something out of integrity. I know this can be difficult for you Leo, but a sincere apology goes a loooong way! Sincere being the key word here. We’ll have lots of time to practice this and lots of time to play as well, because by the end of July there will be 4 planets, Sun, Venus, Mars and the Moon, in Leo when the Leo New Moon hits, and by Mid-August Mercury will be joining them all! Create, Play, Love, Laugh, and be Humble!

Mercury Retrograde & Eclipse Season

Mercury Retrograde & Eclipse Season

This is a guest post written by Lara of Astroinsights

Mercury Retrograde
July 7 - 31, 2019

4 degrees Leo to 23 degrees Cancer
July 7 - July 18/19 in Leo
July 18/19 - July 31 in Cancer

Mercury Retrograde, Eclipses, Chiron Retrograde, Saturn conjunct South Node. It’s difficult to know exactly which of these influences we are feeling right now! But feeling we are with the Sun, Venus, and the last Eclipse in the sensitive sign of Cancer. We may have made it through the Cancer Eclipse but we’ll be exploring Cancer themes until Mercury leaves the sign on August 11th. We will however, have some relief on July 28th when Venus moves into Leo and joins the Sun and Mars there, bringing our focus back to fire and fun.

Right now Mercury is stationing retrograde exactly conjunct Mars in Cancer and Square Uranus in Taurus. Nervous system mayhem can ensue if we aren’t practicing enough self care. Anyone with planets or points between the 3-6 degree mark around the zodiac, and particularly the fixed signs of Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, and Taurus, will be feeling this retrograde most in the first week.

As with all Mercury Retrogrades, we need to be mindful of our words as misunderstandings easily arise. The beginning of the retrograde Mercury starts out in Leo with a conjunction to Mars. Communication may have a sharp or even mean quality to it. We may feel impatient, selfish, reactive, stubborn and prideful. With the two planets in Square to Uranus, we may feel like we need more space and independence than usual. We may find out news that’s unsettling or rapidly changes our direction, experience sudden separations, arguments, or just be in a state of overwhelm. With many planets still in Cancer, we are more sensitive than usual so find practices that help ground and center you through the changes arising now or get support from friends, family, or practitioners.

It doesn’t all need to feel burdensome though. There may also be reconnections with past partners, as with all retrogrades, but in Leo we enter the romance sign of the zodiac. Issues around giving and receiving love and exploring what strategies we use in order to gain love, affection, and attention. We could be reflecting on our individuality and how we express ourself. Creative projects are the focus and the motivation to reconnect, rework and experiment with our talents is fired up. Mars traveling through Leo is a powerhouse, so even with Mercury retrograde, we may still make some forward progress in these areas. But be aware not to get too frustrated if things don’t move as fast as you would like them to.

When Mercury moves back into Cancer on July 18/19, it joins Venus, the Sun and the North Node again. We see the focus shifts from Leo self-expression, back to an internal emotional processing. Cancer themes of family, support, security, and nurturing, will have us working through the emotional content of inner child wounds and ancestral karma. Now’s the time to do some deep healing and reconnect to our emotions. We can learn strategies to self-soothe and de-escalate during triggering moments. We can heal past experiences that left us feeling helpless, insecure and victimized.

Sensitive Cancer is helping us reclaim our inner parent, so we can nurture and love ourself. This often means developing healthy boundaries with those who are taking too much of our generosity. Take not of the people or situations where you are giving too much of yourself and not receiving enough in return. Reciprocity is important in relationship and during this retrograde period we may need to make some adjustments in our relationships dynamics so they feel more balanced, safe, and secure.

On a more practical level, home situations may be changing. It’s a good time to reorganize and take care of any broken or dilapidated areas. You might consider moving, or in the process of making a move. Consider what places and situations make you feel nurtured and safe. Surround your home with things that also make you feel nurtured and safe. Bring in an element of beauty and calmness to your environment to help ground and balance.

On July 31 Mercury moves Direct at 23 degrees Cancer and in opposition to Pluto in Capricorn. During this time we may be facing our shadow through power dynamics, and abusive or manipulative situations in work or family dynamics. We may also have conversations that aim to understand or resolve these issues. Intimacy can be developed more deeply when we share our vulnerability and light and shadow with others. We may also experience this process solo as we explore our inner thought processes that help us reconnect to the power and wisdom of emotions. Pluto brings transformation so expect this time to offer a depth of experience through insight and connection.

Mercury finally moves out of his shadow on August 14 and we can begin to feel full speed ahead! It’s likely to be a bit of a bumpy ride over the next three weeks with the goal of helping us heal, connect with others, and become more connected to our emotions and emotionally resilient. Take time for yourself and focus on what nurtures and supports you. If you don’t know what that is yet, you will discover it by the end of this retrograde. Hold yourself in loving compassion no matter what arises.

Cancer New Moon & Eclipse

By Lara AstroInsights

Cancer New Moon & Eclipse

This is a guest post by Lara, AstroInsights

July 2, 12:22pm PST, Cancer New Moon & Eclipse
10 Degrees Cancer

Moon - ruler of Cancer, in Cancer
New Moon conjunct North Node - North Node Eclipse
New Moon Oppose Saturn
Mercury Stationing Retrograde in Leo
Chiron Stationing Retrograde in Aries
Mercury Conjunct Mars
Mars Mercury Square Uranus in Taurus
Mars/Mercury Trine Chiron in Aries
Venus moves into Cancer

Happy Cancer New Moon! Many of us have been feeling the emotional, watery waves of the last few weeks with Neptune Stationing Retrograde in Pisces, and Mars, Mercury, the North Node, and the Sun in Cancer. You may be experiencing confusion, feelings of helplessness, neediness, frustration, and overall sensitivity to current situations, people, and circumstances. You may also be reconnecting to your family, ancestry, and reviewing your home life and whether or not your needs are getting met, or if you’re giving more than receiving.

These themes and more will be the focus of this upcoming New Moon Eclipse in Cancer. And there is a slight contradiction in the energy as this Eclipse is a North Node Eclipse, meaning it will be pulling us forward in some way, but Saturn will be exactly conjunct the South Node, Mercury will be Stationing Retrograde in Leo and moving back into Cancer, and Chiron will also be Stationing Retrograde in Aries, leaving us with more than half the planets in retrograde motion. We are literally revisiting and clearing out the past to make way for our future.

Eclipse Season is the time to release the old and build the new. Review what isn’t working and find new paths forward and new solutions to stuck patterns. If you aren’t proactive in making change, Eclipses will create change for you and make it painfully uncomfortable. These Eclipses are in Cancer and Capricorn; Cancer is the home, family, support and security, and Capricorn is work, responsibility, autonomy, and status.

Cancer is the Mother archetype, the loving, grounded, protective presence that shows up for us in times of need. She is the bloodline that connects us to our roots, generations of familial stories and karma that we carry through to present time. She is the bearer of life giving water that gives rise to creation, from conception to birth.

Now is the time to go within and connect with what nurtures and supports you most, and then eventually, maybe not until after the Eclipse, look outside and see how you can carry that nurturance and support to the world around you, in your family, in your work, in your creative pursuits. We are most sensitive when Cancer is the focus in the collective field. We are easily triggered and may feel more lost and alone than usual. Take time for self-care and explore the deeper unconscious patterns that are arising during this time. Healing is also the path of Cancer. Healing our ancestral and early childhood wounds so that we can liberate ourself from conditioned programs of fear, unworthiness, and lack.

With Saturn (the ruler of the South Node in Capricorn) Conjunct the South Node, we are taking a good look at the ways in which we may have neglected family or our own emotional process in exchange for work, career, and status. Or we may also be exploring if our current work and role in society is emotionally fulfilling, purposeful, and satisfying. If it isn’t, then some major changes may be underway to bring you more in alignment with a life that creates a healthy balance of family, work, and fulfillment.

Creative energies are freed up and Ego’s may be fired up with Mars and Mercury conjunct in Leo AND Squaring Uranus, and Trine Chiron. To add to the sensitivity of Cancer, Uranus and Chiron play a major role during this Eclipse, stirring up old wounds, short fuses, and erratic behavior. It’s also bringing in new information that inspires healing, connection, and possibly even playfulness if we can come out the other side of our inner child wounding and need for validation and attention. Breakthroughs, breakdowns, and sudden changes will course correct us. Remember that we all have struggles in our past and present and compassion can go a long way in repairing ruptures in relationships.

Boundaries are equally as important as connection and reflect compassion for yourself in unhealthy situations. With Cancer the boundaries between us and them are blurred as their needs become our need and responsibility. With Saturn Conjunct the South Node and Opposing this Cancer New Moon we are confronted with our own need for structure, autonomy, boundaries, and definition within all the roles we play in life. Sometimes creating boundaries means we let go of those people or situations that are not supporting or nurturing us. This is the conversation this New Moon. Mars and Mercury in Leo will give us just enough of an edge of selfishness to advocate for ourself and our needs and desires. Ambiguity won’t last through this New Moon, and new ways of living and relating with more clarity and structure will be the result in the end.

With Mercury Stationing Retrograde, however these new boundaries and clarity will be tested to make sure that the choices you’re making are truly what you want and need. Once he moves back into Cancer, these tests will become more pronounced and we’ll need to adjust course where necessary.

Give yourself the time to connect to your inner resources and sense of security. Seeking outside yourself won’t bring fulfillment. Only working on yourself with love and compassion will manifest these qualities outside yourself. Happiness in relationships, work, and family, are all contingent upon how much you value and love yourself. Begin here all will fall into place.

Left - Death
Right - The Devil

Affirmations for Death

  • I approach change fearlessly and with gained knowledge.
  • I am allowed to let go of the past.
  • I allow my thoughts to evolve.

What Is Death? Death is the unknown. It is life and it is change. It is when we engage in the process of transformation; be it physical, emotional, mental or energetic. Death is an evolution, a doorway to the unknown. While in this combined process of change and facing the unknown, the energy can feel unsettling. This unsettling energy is present to further shake up the foundation of the old; for something else to emerge and break through.

So when we think of death, not only is there change - there is imagination. This imagination of manifestation. New thoughts and concepts can pass through us. Yet it requires an evolution. A passing away of older thought forms, and foundations. Navigating tough times of transition and the unknown are learning experiences and allow us to be challenged and rise up.

Affirmations for The Devil

  • No one can “make” me act out of my character.
  • I choose ____ over _____.
  • I will see everyone that I meet as who they are.
  • I act in my own power.

The devil is oftentimes associated with Pan the Greek god of access and oftentimes this access is our own internal thinking we have taken something that is possibly positive or neutral the situation and we have thought it or who are thinking it into such an extreme that it's no longer positive it's a major distraction or it becomes an obsession.

So something that could be positive, we're turning it into something negative by overstimulating or misunderstanding the original idea of the original source. We can translate this spark or Source, as the Universal Source. So the devil is this creative power of ungoverned by law. If we follow the Universal Law (Gods law) of his own being is Love. So when we talk about the Universe we talk about love. The devil is ungoverned. Which is Love that we're misunderstanding or materializing. It's this energy that at the core is positive and Love, turned negative.

When we act in alignment with our true self, we are on the correct path and obstacles are diminished. If we allow ourselves to become confused by adjusting to others’ belief systems, or over indulging in our own thinking, we can cause friction to our progress forward.

Why can't I stop thinking about someone?

By Marie Satori

Why can't I stop thinking about someone?

Dropbox - download

People often ask me about profound connections. The sense that they have met someone that “they’ve never felt a connection like this before” – followed by a deep confusion as to why then a relationship isn't manifesting, or why the relationship has fallen apart. Then, in the state of separation they find themselves still thinking about the connection or wondering “why am I still holding on?” or internalizing and wondering “what is wrong with me?”  that they haven’t yet experienced this sense of release.

You can experience a profound connection with someone, and yet it might not solidify into a relationship. Relationships are when two individual make a conscious agreement to co-create in life. Some connections are for soul growth. They are sparks to remind us we are energetic beings, and energetically connected. The more one resists the flow of growth, desiring relationship permanence, the more one finds themselves in a cycle of confusion and frustration.

So, they explore “cord cuttings”. Which anyone who speaks to me will know I’m not the biggest fan of, especially in early or questioning stage of a separation – for I’ve found that when most people are “cord cutting” what they are truly doing is an exercise of retouching & meditating on the person they are missing. In hopes to reconnect or re-attach to the person they feel so deeply connected to. However, please do not confuse this in thinking cord cutting does not have a place and purpose. On the contrary, it can assist in energetic freedom, when one is ready to truly clear.

An exercise I like to explain, which can help shed some light into these profound connections; and why one might not understand why a relationship may not happen – or why the two people keep orbiting around each other. This is simple. We are drawn to each other. The person you’re thinking about most often is also thinking about you. You are both questioning the connection, and every few months or a few years – new opportunities present themselves for you to re-assess the connection. You both dance in the energy.

Profound connections can also be very sensitive. One of the both of you could feel as if they made their intentions known, and you didn’t open up to it – because of the sensitivity or uncertainty. We're very sensitive when there is heightened energy. It’s possible we even start to pull back, to process this connection. The other person feels and questions the pull-back. Then possibly, protectively, mirrors the pullback. In the “real” world, this can be seen as not talking, because we don’t want to have our feelings hurt. Possibly we “pull back” by unfollowing on Instagram, or blocking on Facebook – however, we’re still energetically connected. Which then adds to the confusion of, if I took the steps to create space, why am I still thinking about them or feeling them?

The best way to neutralize the connection is to recognize that it exists. The best way to move forward is to remove the timeline as to when the connection or thought “should” fade.

If you’re energetically connected to someone, you’re going to think about this person. If the connection is profound – you’re prone to think about them more, because your brain is a computer and it’s trying to “figure out” and make sense of this connection in a logical manner.

When you begin to think about this person, acknowledge their presence. Instead of wrestling with the their presence, let it linger for a moment. Similar to meditation, I invite you to let their image enter your minds-eye, be recognized, and then released (you can even wave to them goodbye). “Hi how are you? I acknowledge you. I need to move on, or I need to focus on other things. Good bye.”  You're acknowledging the thought and you're letting the thought pass through. You can neutralize this thought. Now that doesn't say that the connection is gone, you're simply not as energetically charged or emotionally charged. The goal isn’t to let the connection go, it’s to allow it to exist and live in peace with it. Regain your mental clarity and hopefully for the both of you, neutralize the connection where it can stabilize and allow for a relationship to form.

Something else that needs to be acknowledged is your true intention. Do you truly want to neutralize the thought and connection? Oftentimes we keep the memory and the thought alive, because we don't want to let it go. We feel good about the connection. The energy feels good to us. This other person excites us, and awakens an energy inside of our being that makes us feel more alive. For some people, we can become addicted to this energetic connection, and want to remain disconnected from our day-to-day and remain in our memories or Astral Plane. Reliving and re-experiencing this connection. We need to acknowledge not only the connection, but that we’re the ones that are tapping in and playing with this connection. Because we miss the memory, or we miss the feeling – and we’re the one that is “keeping it alive.” The truth is, the connection isn’t dead if the physical person isn’t present. The more we are able to recognize, acknowledge and neutralize the questions surrounding this profound energy – the easier it will be for us to “move on” in your own time.  So, I invite you to really sit with yourself. Think about these thoughts that are arising, especially if you feel like you can't move past someone. It's not that you're trying to move past them. You're trying to neutralize the thoughts around them. Acknowledge that they exist. You're not going to forget your past. Acknowledge that this past exist. As you move forward, it will be natural for your mind to resist. Let these thoughts come through, and then release the thought. After a series of these moments, and this can take weeks, months or years - you’ll begin to feel less heavy. To quote Osho, these thoughts will be like ocean waves. It’s natural to have waves in the ocean. We are not trying to still the ocean of our minds – we are learning to ride the wave.

Hopefully, both of you will have your opportunities in the future to connect again. Hopefully in a more neutral way. Or you'll able to recognize that there is this really nice and profound connection, but that it may not be your actual partner your life partner. Often times these profound connections feel larger than life; which can be too overwhelming to last a life-time.

Some connections are for soul growth. They are a spark to remind us we are energetic beings. To ignite us – and to awaken our fiery spiritual souls. So thank them for that and maybe they don't need to be any deeper than that awakening for you.
